Pak Should Dismantle Terror Infrastructure if It Wants to Survive: PM’s Big Warning

adminBy adminMay 13, 2025

In a stark and strongly worded message to Pakistan, the Prime Minister of India has issued a significant warning, urging Islamabad to dismantle its terror infrastructure if it wishes to ensure its own survival. The statement comes amidst rising tensions between the two countries over cross-border terrorism and the continued support to terror outfits operating from Pakistani soil.

Speaking at a high-level national security meet in New Delhi, the Prime Minister did not mince words. “Terrorism is not just a threat to India; it is a threat to the entire region and global peace. Pakistan must dismantle the terror infrastructure it shelters if it wants to survive in the modern world,” he said. This marks one of the most direct warnings issued at the diplomatic level in recent times.

Growing Frustration Over Cross-Border Terror

India has long accused Pakistan of providing safe haven to terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and others responsible for attacks on Indian soil, including the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the Pulwama bombing. Despite repeated dossiers and international pressure, Islamabad has often denied its involvement, blaming “non-state actors” and lack of evidence.

Indian officials, however, argue that the continued patronage and shielding of these groups by Pakistani military and intelligence agencies make the state complicit in terrorism. “The world is watching. Either Pakistan acts against terror, or it isolates itself further,” the PM added.

International Support Growing for India’s Stand

India’s message seems to be resonating globally. Several nations, including the United States, France, and Australia, have supported India’s call for stronger action against terrorism emanating from Pakistan. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has already placed Pakistan under intense scrutiny, and further inaction may lead to renewed economic sanctions or blacklisting.

A Warning Rooted in Strategic Reality

Experts believe the PM’s statement reflects both political determination and strategic clarity. Former diplomats and security analysts assert that India has run out of patience with Pakistan’s “double game”—talking peace while harbouring groups that preach and practice violence.

Retired Indian Army General S. Bakshi noted, “This isn’t just rhetoric. The Prime Minister is warning that India will not hesitate to defend its national interest by any means necessary. Pakistan must understand this is a last call.”

Regional Stability at Stake

The warning is not just about bilateral relations—it has broader implications for South Asia. Any failure to curb terrorism can escalate into wider conflict, disrupting regional peace and economic growth. India has consistently stated that it prefers peace but not at the cost of national security.

Pakistan’s Response

As of now, Islamabad has not officially responded to the Prime Minister’s remarks. However, past patterns suggest it may either reject the allegations or attempt to divert attention by bringing up the Kashmir issue. Indian officials, however, maintain that no amount of deflection can change the global perception of Pakistan’s record on terror.

Conclusion

The Prime Minister’s latest warning marks a pivotal moment in India-Pakistan relations. With India adopting a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism, the onus now lies squarely on Pakistan to act decisively against the terror infrastructure operating from its territory. The message is clear: dismantle terror networks or face severe consequences—not just diplomatically, but existentially.

This is not just a political stance. It is a survival imperative for Pakistan.
